Norfolk Academy Art Show 2026
Norfolk Academy Art Show — A Spring Tradition I’m Honored to Be Part Of
There is something special about spring in coastal Virginia.
The light softens, the air carries that first hint of salt and warmth, and the creative community begins to gather again after winter’s quiet studio months.
This year, I’m honored to be participating in a truly beloved local tradition — the 41st Annual Norfolk Academy Art Show.
For more than four decades, this show has brought together an incredible group of artists and collectors, creating an evening that celebrates creativity, community, and the joy of discovering new work. Being included among such talented artists is a privilege, and I’m so excited to share my newest paintings there.
The opening reception will take place on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, during Norfolk Academy’s Field Day celebration. The evening begins at 5:30 PM, and it will be the very first opportunity to view and purchase artwork in person.
After the opening night, the show continues both in person and online through Sunday, May 3rd, giving collectors additional time to explore the artwork and find pieces that feel just right for their homes.
If you’d like to preview the show ahead of time, Norfolk Academy will be sharing the artwork online approximately one week before the event at:
Leading up to the show, participating artists and selected pieces will also be featured on the Norfolk Academy Art Gallery Instagram page, which helps build a wonderful sense of anticipation before opening night. You can follow along here:
The Norfolk Academy Art Show has become increasingly competitive over the years, and I feel incredibly grateful to be included in this year’s group of artists. Opportunities like this remind me how meaningful it is to share artwork with a community that values creativity and connection.
If you plan to attend, I would absolutely love to see you there. There’s something wonderful about experiencing artwork in person — seeing the texture, the color shifts, and the little details that only reveal themselves when you stand in front of a painting.
Spring art shows always feel like a celebration, and this one is especially special.
I hope to see you there.
